Contest

Posted by Deborah Halasz on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, In : Life
Before I post another blog about some amazing artists, I want to share a contest I recently held with our NKAirplay Radio listeners. I'm not a big fan of autographs unless they are personalized and I already have Joey McIntyre's new album on Itunes, so when I received his autographed picture and physical CD of his new album, it made sense for me to either give it away or sell it.  Granted, I could have made some decent money via paypal, but part of being a blockhead (aka a New Kids on the Blo...

Five Hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes

Posted by Deborah Halasz on Friday, January 8, 2010, In : Life

Lately, there seems to be a lot of New Kids on the Block fans writing blogs about what the band means to them.  A lot of them are reading more and more like a “what did I do last summer” type of essay, but I’m finding that more than anything else, the blogs are the fans' way of legitimizing their love and trying to explain what I can only say is unexplainable.  That might sound a bit egotistical and biased, but the truth is, if you read any journalist’s critique of a NKOTB appearance ...

Last blog of 2009

Posted by Deborah Halasz on Thursday, December 31, 2009, In : Life

Yes, I am counting down to 2010, but if you've been reading this blog, you know that by now!  And, no, I still haven't figured out how to add a comments section for this blog.  According to my "advanced settings" comments are enabled, but I have no idea where they are!

Today's blog, well part of it, is about sharing.  I love reading good blogs, which is probably why I'm forcing myself to get better with maintaining mine, so I want to share some of the good ones I've read lately. Of course, I d...

I am always looking for ways to contribute to research whether it be with a teacher, administrator, neurologist, educational researcher, etc.  I'll gladly volunteer my time for such an opportunity.

My skills include writing, researching, promotion, speaking, counseling, instructing, and training.  My goal is to contribute to K-12 education through the investigation of learning strategies, multidisciplinary instruction, and student responsibility.  I particularly enjoy longitudinal studies.

If after reading some of my blogs below, you feel I might be a good fit to work with or assist you, please contact me.

Thank you,
Deborah
